Threads and note logging experiment

First note sale of ¥1,980 came from an old non-AI article; AI-written note sales still 0

In a Threads plus note logging experiment on a side account, the author made a first sale of ¥1,980, but clarified it was an existing paid article on their second side account, not AI-written. As of the 6th the AI-written ¥980 note had 0 sales, and the author's first side account was still at ¥0 after 52 posts.

The story

The author made their first sale, ¥1,980, in a Threads plus note logging experiment on a side account. The author states explicitly that what sold was a paid article that already existed on their second side account, not an article written by AI, and that calling it “the first sale brought by AI” would be an exaggeration.

A follow-up post splits the numbers as of the 6th: the existing article ¥1,980 (1 sale), the AI-written note ¥0. Before publishing, the AI-written note priced at ¥980 was reviewed seven times by a checking AI and finally read by a human before release.

The author's first side account has published 52 posts and its sales are still ¥0. Next the author wants to see whether the AI-written piece will get its first sale. The title of the article that sold, where readers came from, and whether the amount is after platform fees were not disclosed.

Costs, risks and open questions

Author's lesson: check which article actually sold; reusing an old account mixes non-AI sales into the result. The sold article's title, traffic source and post-fee amount are undisclosed.
