How we choose and document cases
We document AI businesses described publicly on X, including what was built, the customers, acquisition methods and the meaning of each financial figure.
Questions each case should answer
- What was built with AI, and who bought it.
- How the first sale happened and how more customers were found.
- Reported revenue, disclosed costs and setbacks. Missing information is marked as undisclosed.
How financial figures are recorded
- Monthly revenue, recurring revenue, cumulative revenue and individual payments each retain their own labels.
- Revenue and profit are recorded separately. Disclosed costs and exclusions accompany the figures.
- Figures retain the reported currency, period and reporting date. Unspecified details stay marked as undisclosed.
- The default evidence level is an unverified account by the author. A verified label requires a supporting source note.
Editorial boundaries
- Cases include an editorial summary, author credit, a source link and the publication date.
- Missing financial details remain explicitly undisclosed.
- Cases are selected for their methods, evidence and lessons.
Publishing and withdrawal
Notion records use draft, published and withdrawn states. Published cases appear on the website after synchronization. Edits and withdrawals take effect on the next successful sync. The previous snapshot stays available if a sync fails.
Crawling and attribution
Search engines, AI search services and model-training crawlers may access our public pages, including GPTBot, ClaudeBot and CCBot.
When quoting, excerpting, republishing or generating answers based on our edited case studies, credit AI Income Journal and provide a clickable, full URL to the relevant case page so readers can review its context and updates.
