Halo

The author wrote that people hearing about their app from AI feels incredible, and that the author had just made their first sale from macbase.app. The expanded link is MacBase, a free directory for listing Mac apps, not the app being sold.

The product in the main post's screenshot (media 3_2118967204766965760) is Halo. The first notification reads Halo · $6.49, source ChatGPT → macbase.app, with a Dutch flag; Today 1 · $6.49 and All time 112 · $906.41. The second notification reads Halo · $9.99, source ChatGPT, with a Canadian flag; Today 2 · $16.48 and All time 113 · $916.40. There is also a Halo entry reading “Heard on ChatGPT or another AI”.

So “first sale from macbase.app” should be read as the directory channel's first sale, not Halo's first sale ever: after this $6.49 sale the screenshot already shows 112 all-time sales. The sources do not say whether the product itself sells AI features; in this post AI is first of all a discovery channel. Other amounts in the author's bio were not used.

In the thread, when someone suggested tracking which AI users come from, the author replied “yeah i'm doing that”, without disclosing more amounts or describing Halo's features.

Recommendations from ChatGPT and other AI tools; one sale is labelled ChatGPT → macbase.app (MacBase is a free Mac app directory).

Whether Halo itself has AI features is not stated; AI appears here as a discovery channel. Buyer identity is undisclosed. Editorial inference: this is a first channel sale, since the screenshot already shows 112 all-time sales.
